SAT is a highly competitive exam taken by students planning to pursue their bachelor’s degree and is most required in the USA.
Typically, a family would know they want to send the kid to the USA by the time they touch high school hence, many students start preparing for SAT when they are in 9th/ 10th year of the school.
Is it the right time to start and what’s with the approach to prepare for SAT?
Is it just SAT that a student should prepare for?
Any decent university or college would look for a candidate who comes with extensive proficiency in a language preferably English, history along with specialised studies in American history, European history etc., mathematics, science and, writing.
SAT comprises Reading, Writing and Mathematics and, to do well in SAT exam, the proficiencies mentioned above are the key besides focused preparation of the exam. Hence, just preparing for SAT exam is not enough.
Majority of the top ranked universities require SAT scores while others recommend having them. In addition to academic scores, these universities evaluate the potential in applicant specially in terms of utilising the resources made available to them at the university and ability to make significant contributions to the society.
It is simple to understand, without the required proficiencies, it is hard for any student to be able to leave that impression as marks are simply not enough however, they do indicate the level of interest one might have in the subject.
Directly or indirectly, preparing right from the beginning and knowing where to focus will not only lead to overall development of the minds of students but also, train them well enough to do great in SAT exam too.
To conclude, Study. Study. Study. fits well to get the desired score in SAT exam but at the same time, Planning. Timings. Focus. will allow the students to discover their strengths and areas of improvements giving them a better chance to succeed.
